• The Limca Book of Records, since its first edition in 1990, is aimed at showcasing “India At Her Best” before the world community, and reviving the spirit of excellence and pride among Indians. At the same time, it is also a golden opportunity for one to know the country at a glance across its length and breadth.

There is an editorial deadline involved. We will only be able to consider including information submitted here up to the 15th September, 2006. Do feel free, however, to submit information even after that date. It can be used in the next edition.

The cut-off date is 15th July. As in, the statistic that you're quoting should be as of 15th July, 2006.

Blogs and blogging are a new category in the Book. Some categories are impossible to verify, some are easy to fake. The Book would like to present as fair a view as possible, and thus may avoid the more contentious categories.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated, and in exceptional cases, will be acknowledged, but please understand that space limitations prevent us from listing everyone who helps.
